4 lbs. rump roast
2 c. beef broth (can substitute chicken broth)
1 stick butter
1 pkg dry Italian dressing or seasoning
1 pkg dry au jus seasoning
I sm. jar pepperoncinis
Hawaiian sandwich rolls or hoagie rolls, for serving
Asiago cheese slices or provolone slices, for serving
Place rump roast in crock pot with stick of butter. Pour entire jar of pepperoncinis over the roast, including the liquid. Mix the Italian seasoning and au jus seasoning in the broth, and pour over the meat as well. Cook in slow cooker on low for 10-12 hours.
Remove the pepperoncinis from the crock-pot by spooning them out, and discard Then remove the roast and shred with two forks. Remove some liquid from the crock pot and reserve. Add back as much reserved liquid as desired.
Serve on Hawaiian sandwich rolls and top with a slice of provolone.
