1 1/2 lbs. of ground beef or turkey
8 oz. spaghetti broken into 2″ pieces
1 jar pasta sauce
4 oz. shredded mozarella cheese
1 c. ricotta or cottage cheese
1/3 c. parmesan cheese
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 egg, well beaten
1 chopped onion
2 T. olive oil
1-2 T. butter
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1. Cook spaghetti and drain.
2. Preheat oven to 350. Put butter, egg, salt, pepper and parmesan in a 9×13 baking dish and mix it all up. Put the drained hot spaghetti over it so the butter melts and mix it all around, then press it into all the corners of the dish.
3. Heat oil and saute the ground turkey or ground beef, onion, pepper. Stir in pasta sauce and heat. Spread cottage cheese over the spaghetti layer and top with the sauce mixture. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with mozarella and bake for 10 more minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting. Easy to halve recipe or make in 2 pie pans and freeze one.
